If given the option, most people would probably prefer a sign that can talk, show complex information and display a series of images and videos instead of a single static image with text. Digital signage can provide all of this and more, and many companies are finding that it is a versatile solution and a great investment as well.

In 2011, Alteris Group partnered with Minneapolis-based marketing technologies provider Wireless Ronin Technologies, Inc., to create digital service menu boards for Ford Motor Company. This adaptable, quick-to-update solution allows Ford to maintain consistent brand messaging at Ford and Lincoln dealerships that choose to use the digital signs.

Wireless Ronin and Alteris Group teamed up to create Alteris Group Powered by RoninCast®. Each brought unique pieces of the puzzle to the table. Wireless Ronin provided hardware and software development and support. Alteris Group provided its sales and marketing experience to create video and digital media for the digital signage platform.

“Combining Wireless Ronin’s robust RoninCast digital signage solution with Alteris Group’s marketing and service expertise created the perfect combination for Ford to optimize their branding and messaging efforts,” said Tim Connor, co-owner of Alteris Group.

Patriotism is something that affects everyone uniquely, and a goal of the 2011 Angels’ Place video was to show that it can touch us all regardless of background.

“I’ve never seen this perspective on war and the military,” said Oliver Darrow, producer at Alteris Group and writer for the video.

For the second year in a row, Alteris Group had the honor of producing a video for the Angels’ Place annual fundraising dinner.  Angels’ Place is an organization that has provided specialized residential care to individuals with developmental disabilities in Southeast Michigan since 1992, and when first given the opportunity to create a video for the program a year ago, Alteris Group was happy to contribute.

This year’s video features interviews with residents who have a family member or near acquaintance who has served or is serving in the military. Stories range from WWII to the Iraq War and also include perspective on 9/11.

“I was proud to witness their compassion for our soldiers and their desire for world peace,” said Cheryl Loveday, Executive Director of Angels’ Place, of the video.

Darrow, who attended the fundraising event, says the close of the video was met with “thunderous applause” in the banquet room. He added that it was a moving experience and he was glad to be a part of it.

Angels’ Place has sixteen homes that provide specialized residential care, supported independent living, and community based services to over 150 individuals. It has homes in Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties. Also, through the Abundant Life Services, Angels’ Place provides transitional services, educational workshops, community support for those living on their own, respite programs for caregivers, and many other types of outreach.

Research has shown a host of factors can negatively affect workplace performance, but astonishingly 75 to 80 percent of these factors are from the work environment rather than a lack of employee skills and knowledge.

This means managers with the right tools and “how-to” strategies can have tremendous power to shape more productive teams. An immediate first step a manager should take is simply letting an employee know how they measure up by providing effective feedback.

You and your staff are facing more work and pressure to perform than ever, but through our 30 minute webcast, Alteris Group’s team of instructional designers will provide time-tested strategies to improve employee/manager communication. You can avoid the pitfalls of incomplete or confused feedback, lack of specific performance expectations and conflicting priorities.

We’ll show you how timely, specific feedback can reduce stress for both manager and employee, make everyone’s job easier and foster a better sense of respect and appreciation in the workplace.

Attend our FREE live webcast on November 18 at 12:30 p.m. EST to learn the tools, best practices and processes to deliver effective feedback that motivates enhanced job performance.
